The 2024 Ice Hawks were back on the ice at The Battle of the Bay Tournament in Duluth with our 10U and 12U teams competing this weekend.
The 10U Girls kicked off the season going 2-2 and lost the third-place game 1-0. It was a very close game that could have gone either way. We are super proud of the way the girls came together, played, and battled. Each game they got a little better!
The 12U Girls went 3-1 and earned a third-place finish with a 7-3 win. A game one loss eliminated their chances of making the championship game. They were getting the feel of playing with each other the first game and we definitely saw more confidence and improvements as the weekend went on and girls became comfortable with one another.
The Battle by the Bay Tournament was a great tournament and hosted many of Minnesota’s top girls’ teams. Our girls competed very well and demonstrated that they belong competing against top Minnesota teams.
The 10U and 12U teams will be back on the ice May 3-5 at the Spring Stampede Tournament in Minneapolis.
